ELITE OUTLAW

  • THIS CLASS IS INVITE ONLY AND MUST BE VOTED ON BY THE OTHER OUTLAW DRIVERS
  • ANY 1RC CAR
  • ANY 1RC MOTOR
  • MUST USE 1RC ESC ( SPEED CONTROL )
  • ANY 1RC TIRE
  • CAN HAVE LEXAN SIDEBOARD NO TALLER THAN 6 INCHES FROM THE GROUND
  • NO METAL OR CARBON
  • ALL CARS MUST HAVE THE DRIVER FIGURE INSTALLED

Cars may be subject to tech inspections at any time the race coordinator sees fit.  Failing tech may result in a warning, lap reductions or disqualification.  All tech decisions will be made by the race coordinator.  Please read and follow the rules.

 

1RC GENERAL RULES

  • MUST USE 1RC PARTS ONLY AND OR OPTION PARTS FROM 1RC. NO AFTERMARKET PARTS UNLESS IT IS STATED THEY CAN BE USED. AFTERMARKET WHEEL COVERS ARE ALLOWED. ABSOLUTELY NO AFTERMARKET PARTS ALLOWED THAT GIVE A SPEED OR PERFORMANCE ADVANTAGE
  • NO AFTERMARKET BEARINGS. MUST USE THE 1RC BEARINGS IN ALL APPLICATIONS
  • CAN USE AFTERMARKET STEERING SERVO
  • CAN USE AFTERMARKET RADIO/ RECEIVER COMBO
  • ALL CARS MUST USE ONLY 1RC SPEED CONTROL (ESC).
  • ALL CARS MUST HAVE ALL STOCK WIRING FROM THE ESC TO THE MOTOR, NO HARD WIRING ESC TO MOTOR (MUST USE STOCK CONNECTOR)IF RUNNING A VOLTAGE REGULATOR, IT MUST BE WIRED EXACTLY, BATTERY LEAD TO THE  REG. THEN TO THE ESC. WHEN THE BATTERY IS PLUGGED IN THE RED LIGHT FOR THE REGULATOR SHOULD BE ON. 
  • ALL REGULATORS MUST HAVE JST PLUGS BETWEEN THE ESC. AND REGULATOR ( PLUG AND PLAY ) TO TEST REGULATOR VOLTAGE ( HOBBYWING VOLTAGE REG. MAX VOLTAGE 6.09 VOLTS
  •            
  • NO CHANGING WIRES FROM ESC TO MOTOR OR CROSSING THE WIRES FROM ESC TO MOTOR.
  • NO ADDED WEIGHT TO THE CARS (CARS WILL HAVE A MIN. AND MAX WEIGHT)
  • ALL CARS ARE SUBJECT TO TECH AT ANY GIVEN TIME
  • ALL CARS MUST HAVE A 3/16’  HOLE DRILLED IN REAR END HOUSING TO INSPECT GEAR SET TO AVOID HAVING REAR END HOUSING TORN DOWN DURING TECH (STILL UNDER DISCUSSION)
  • ALL CARS MUST HAVE A SEPARATE TRANSPONDER
  • ALL CARS MUST HAVE ALL BODY PANELS/ WINGS, DRIVER FIGURE, ALL BUMPERS
  • ALL CAR MUST HAVE VISIBLE NUMBERS ON THE CAR SO THE ANNOUNCER CAN CALL THE RACE.
  • ALL SHOCKS MUST MOVE UP AND DOWN, ONLY ONE O-RING PER SHOCK. ABSOLUTELY NO INTERNAL OR EXTERNAL LIMITERS,
  • ALL SHOCKS ENDS MUST BE STOCK SIZE, CAN NOT MAKE LONGER SHOCK ENDS ( BALL CUP END ) TO ADJUST RIDE .
  • TORSION BARS ARE NO LONGER ALLOWED TO BE USED ON THE CARS
  • NO BUMP STOPS ( SUSPENSION MUST MOVE AS IT IS INTENDED )
  • NO ADDING DROOP SCREWS TO THE FRONT END
  • NO ADDING SPACERS/ SHIMS TO ALTER RIDE HEIGHT OR ROLL CENTER
  • NO BUMP STEER SHIMS

TIRES  

  • SXT 3.0 IS THE ONLY ALLOWED TIRE COMPOUND
  • NO WD-40 OR SIMPLE GREEN ON TIRES OR ANY OTHER TIRE SOFTENERS
  • TIRES CAN BE CLEANED WITH A FAST EVAPORATING CLEANER SUCH AS ELECTRONIC CLEANER
  • TIRES CAN BE GLUED TO AVOID TRACTION ROLLING
  • ALL 4 TIRES ON THE VEHICLE MUST MATCH THE VEHICLE THEY ARE INTENDED FOR. NO MISMATCHING OTHER TYPES OF TIRES ON CARS
  • ALL 4 TIRES MUST HAVE TREAD ON THEM ACROSS THE TIRES TIRES MISSING TREAD WILL BE FOUND ILLEGAL AND THROWN OUT.
  • NO GRINDING ON THE TIRES WITH DREMEL OR DRILL
  • NO GROWING/ SWELLING OF THE TIRES (CHANGING DIAMETER OF STOCK TIRE)
  • NO TIRE WARMERS OF ANY KIND 
  • ALL TIRES MUST PASS THE GO/NO GO GAUGE BEFORE AND AFTER THE RACE. IF THE TIRE DOES NOT FIT IN THE GAUGE YOU WILL BE DQ’ED ON THE SPOT NO QUESTIONS ASKED 

GEARING/ DRIVETRAIN

  • NO SWAPPING GEARING TO CHANGE RATIO
  • MIDGETS RUN A 12 TOOTH PINION AND BLACK GEAR SET
  • SPRINT CARS, SILVER CROWN, EDM AND LATE MODELS RUN A 10 TOOTH PINION WITH A WHITE/ GREY GEAR SET
  • NO DRILLING HOLES IN GEARS TO LIGHTEN UP GEARS WE WILL ALLOW GEARS TO BE SHAVED WHERE IT RUBS ON CASE OR BEARING (TECH OFFICIAL DISCRETION ON WHAT IS TOO MUCH GROUND DOWN)
  • DRILL A 3/16TH HOLE IN THE REAR END CASE FOR GEAR INSPECTION

 

1RC MOTORS/BATTERIES/ REGULATORS

  • ALL MOTORS MUST HAVE THE STOCK PLUG FROM MOTOR TO ESC, NO HARD WIRING
  • ALL MOTORS WILL HAVE A MAX 700KV VARIANCE OVER THE KV RATING STAMPED ON THE MOTOR CAN. IF HIGHER YOU MUST BRING A MOTOR THAT IS WITHIN SPEC. THE REASON FOR THIS RULE IS TO KEEP THE FIELD OF CARS AS EVEN AS POSSIBLE
  • ALL MOTORS WILL BE CHECKED AND SEALED BEFORE THE CARS HIT THE TRACK FOR RACING, THE MOTORS WILL BE CHECKED FOR MAX KV RATING IF IN SPEC OF THE 700KV VARIANCE. A TAMPER PROOF SEAL WILL BE PLACED ON THE MOTOR. THIS SEAL WILL HAVE A SERIAL NUMBER AS WELL AND WILL BE LOGGED IN A BOOK WITH DRIVERS NAME AND CAR THAT MOTOR BELONGS TO. IF YOU HAVE TO REPLACE THE MOTOR IT MUST BE TESTED BEFORE RACING. NO SEAL ON MOTOR IN TECH WILL RESULT IN A DQ
  • ALL LIPO BATTERIES CAN AND WILL BE CHECKED BEFORE ANY RACE. MAX VOLTAGE IS 8.40 VOLTS. MAX TEMP 90 DEGREES. IF ANY OF THESE ARE HIGHER THAN SPEC YOU WILL MISS THAT ROUND. NO QUESTIONS ASKED.
  • ALL VOLTAGE REGULATORS MUST BE PLUG AND PLAY WITH JST PLUGS ON BOTH ENDS
  • REGULATORS CAN BE CHECKED FOR MAX OUTPUT/VOLTAGE AT ANY GIVEN TIME BY A RACE DIRECTOR/OFFICIAL MAX VOLTAGE OUTPUT 6.09 VOLTS             6.10 VOLTS WILL BE ILLEGAL

 

RACE FORMAT

  • SEEDING ROUND
    • THE SEEDING ROUND WILL BE RANDOMLY SORTED
    • 15 LAP RACE WE WILL BE SEEDING FROM THE SINGLE FASTEST LAP
  • HEAT RACES
    • HEATS WILL BE SORTED FROM THE PRACTICE ROUND
    • ALL HEATS WILL BE 2 MINUTES
    • WE WILL RACE 2 HEAT RACES. AFTER THE 1ST HEAT IT WILL BE A COMPLETE INVERT FROM THE FINISH 
    • MAINS WILL BE SEEDED OFF THE MOST LAPS COMPLETED
  • QUALIFYING MAINS
    • ALL QUALIFYING MAINS ( E, D, C, B, MAINS) WILL BE 40 LAPS
    • THE WINNER OF A QUALIFYING MAIN WILL BUMP INTO THE REAR OF NEXT MAIN
  • “A” MAIN (THE FEATURE) 
    • ALL FEATURE RACES WILL START WITH A MAXIMUM OF 6 CARS
    • ALL FEATURE MAINS WILL BE 60 LAPS


RACERS/ DRIVERS

  •  THIS IS A HOBBY, THIS IS A TOY CAR
  •  ABSOLUTELY NO PROFANITY, YOU WILL BE ASKED TO GO HOME FOR THE NIGHT
  •  IF YOU ARE NOT HAVING FUN, PACK UP AND GO HOME AND TRY IT AGAIN NEXT WEEK. YOUR BAD DAY DOES NOT NEED TO RUIN SOMEONE ELSES NIGHT.
  • DO NOT SCREAM AND YELL AT THE MARSHALLS. IT IS NOT THE MARSHALL’S FAULT YOU CRASHED.           
  • PLEASE BE READY FOR YOUR TIME ON THE TRACK. IF YOU ARE CALLED TWICE TO LINE UP FOR A HEAT OR MAIN, YOU WILL START IN THE REAR (WE WILL NOT WAIT)
  • ONCE A VEHICLE HAS LEFT THE TRACK/ PIT LANE, THAT CAR CAN NOT COME BACK ON THE TRACK. YOUR RACE IS OVER YOU HAVE ALREADY WENT DOWN SEVERAL LAPS, DO NOT COME BACK OUT AND RUIN ANOTHER RACERS RACE. 
  • IF YOU ARE HAVING MECHANICAL PROBLEMS, PLEASE LET AN RACE OFFICIAL KNOW IF THE RACE YOU ARE IN, IS CALLED AND THERE ARE MECHANICAL PROBLEMS ON YOUR CAR ONCE ALL THE OTHER CARS ARE ON THE TRACK AND HAVE LINED UP THE WORK CLOCK WILL START. THAT DRIVER HAS ONE MINUTE TO GET THE CAR FIXED AND, ON THE STARTING, GRID ONCE THE MINUTE IS UP THE RACE WILL START.
  • IF YOU HAVE TO SCRATCH FOR A RACE OR THE NIGHT, PLEASE LET AN OFFICIAL KNOW
  • VETERAN RACERS HELP OUT A NEW RACER
  • DO NOT YELL AT THE RACE DIRECTOR PERIOD.   
  • ALL RACERS MUST WEAR CLOSED TOE SHOES

 

TURN MARSHAL

  • AFTER EVERY RACE YOU MUST PUT YOUR CAR AND RADIO ON THE IMPOUND TABLE AND GO TURN MARSHALL THE NEXT RACE.  NO ONE IS TOO GOOD TO MARSHALL
  • IF YOU DO NOT PUT YOUR CAR IN IMPOUND AFTER YOUR RACE AND MARSHALL YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED FROM THE PREVIOUS RACE YOU JUST HAD.  0 POINTS
  • ALL RACERS MUST MARSHALL IF YOU CAN NOT MARSHALL PLEASE FIND SOMEONE WHO CAN MARSHALL FOR YOU. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO FIND A REPLACEMENT.
  • PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR CORNER OR STRAIGHTAWAY ON THE TRACK
  • GET TO THE CRASH AS QUICK AS POSSIBLE WITHOUT STEPPING ON ANOTHER RACER’S CAR.
  • DO NOT SIT A CAR BACK IN THE PATH OF THE ON COMING CARS, IF IT IS NOT CLEAR HOLD THE CAR UNTIL THE TRACK IS CLEAR
  • DO NOT TRY TO REPAIR A CAR WHILE MARSHALING
  • MARSHALL THE CARS AS YOU WOULD WANT TO BE MARSHALED NO FAVORITISM  

TECH

  • ALL CARS ARE SUBJECT TO BE TECHED AT ANY GIVEN PART OF THE NIGHT. WE HAVE TO KEEP ALL RACERS/ CARS ON AN EVEN PLAYING FIELD
  • THE RACE DIRECTOR WILL CALL OUT WHICH CLASS OR CARS WILL BE TECHED AT THE START OF THAT RACE. AFTER THE RACE, PLEASE GO DIRECTLY TO THE TECH TABLE WITH YOUR CAR AND RADIO. DO NOT GO TO YOUR PIT. DO NOT PULL THE BATTERY. THE CAR WILL COME TO TECH AS IT CAME OFF THE TRACK.
  • ONLY THE DRIVER OF THE CAR CALLED TO TECH IS ALLOWED IN THE TECH AREA. IF THE DRIVER IS YOUNGER, WE WILL ALLOW ONE CREW MEMBER TO TECH ALSO.
  • IF AND WHEN A CAR IS TECHED, THE TECH OFFICIALS WILL NOT PUT THE CAR BACK TOGETHER, THE TECH OFFICIALS WILL KEEP ALL PARTS TOGETHER FOR YOU. WE ARE SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE.
  • ALL MAIN EVENT CARS WILL GO TO IMPOUND/TECH TABLE RIGHT AFTER THEIR RACE. THIS INCLUDES CAR AND RADIO. IF YOU ARE RACING BACK-TO-BACK THEN WE WILL NOT NEED THE RADIO. ANY CAR NOT GOING DIRECTLY TO IMPOUND WILL BE DISQUALIFIED, NO QUESTIONS ASKED.
